Better Living Through Chemicals

Didn’t have a lot of time to do much work this weekend because we had *gasp* a social life!
But I did manage to (simultaneously) strip the oh-so-attractive faux marble paint off the mantlepiece and (I’m going to have to sit down for this one, it’s so heavenly Victorian) blacked the grate!

Progress, palpable progress.

The chimney sweep came today and uncovered two marvelous fireplaces!

..everyone has been investigating the new toys.

Now I get to go play on the Internet and look at things that make logs out of paper, heaven knows we have enough shredding to get rid of!
