I finished the baby blanket I started in February.. I had a bit of a keen spell and then moving and all that got in the way and it’s been languishing ever since.
I have discovered that I hate putting granny squares together, so I might have to delete all the other square-based projects from my [...]

I had to walk right up to the window to make sure that it wasn’t made of statues!
I’ve got myself a part-time job Excel wrangling…it’s not thrilling but it does manage to provide pennies for the ever dwindling Misericordia coffers. Rest assured we will now be able to keep ourselves in stockings and fans (Batman [...]

Fruit
For Passover this year we bought an orange tree instead of flowers. It turned out to be a bit of a faff because the original tree had beasties living in the soil.
So this is not our authentic Passover tree, but it is the beastie-free replacement, which I am much fonder of!
I’ve always wanted a little [...]

We went to a stately home last weekend and saw these lovely lambies who had been born the day before…
Apart from their fabulous lambie legwarmers, I realised I’d never seen anyone’s umbilical cord before!

Can I tell you about the unalloyed pleasure of working with large format cameras?
I have to admit I’m a little bit of a geek, not in a numbers-y technical way mind you.. but a giddy at the thought of putting black fabric over my head kind of a way. (I’m a bit like this with [...]

(Warning, this may get a little artistic, please bear with me.)
I’m struggling to place myself in the world at the moment. I realise that since moving to Manchester I haven’t been able to live in my normal pattern. A lot of this has to do with not having a job, and trying to find my [...]

I’ve become a little obsessed with hands at the moment.
I blame Ravelry, I’m involved in a monthly swap and the theme this month is Hand.
This, combined with the fact that I got my Hand of Fatima up on the wall of the garret got me thinking about hands.
I guess it’s a pleasant change from feet, [...]

Goodness, time flies when you’re having fun, doesn’t it?
Had a lovely Pesach and Easter, full of chocolate bunnies, green gefilte fish (a little tip, don’t use red onion..tastes great, looks awful!), and growing things!
We’ve planted some lily of the valley, a random bulb selection, and some herbs and lettuce. I get very excited by growing [...]

Things might be a bit quiet around here for a few days. We’ve got lots of adventures planned, my mum will be arriving in an hour or so for a whole week!
I should have some more time to take photos and think of interesting things to tell you now that my exam is over (pffew).. [...]
