Sometimes I like a little mystery, but I must admit to being the sort of person who reads a book as fast as possible to work out what happens before going back and reading it slowly (but I’ve stopped reading the last page first, that’s just cheating)!
For some reason, this commission has been teasing me for ages! I can’t work out if it’s initials or some sort of inside joke or what (I know I could just ask, but part of me doesn’t want to know now!)
I totally speed read and then follow with a deeper slow read! I am glad i am not the only one, most people i know think i am nuts!
I found having a kindle has put a stop to my reading the last page habit! When HP and the Deathly Hallows came out i actually put a rubber band around the whole last chapter to the back cover (well i got someone else to do it) so i couldn’t!
That’s a genius idea about the rubber band! I read footnotes too and was devastated when the last footnote in my copy of Phineas Finn gave away the rest of the Palliser novels (which I had every intention of reading).
