I’ve had a few decluttering decisions that have made me skip around the room with happiness, and this is just one of those things.
An IKEA bag full of dustsheets (or old curtains masquerading as dustsheets) which has been tripping me up in my workroom since we moved in. All of a sudden it feels like my room and not just a room I’m working in.
This earned Batman a massive comedy kiss and over a week after it’s made it out, I still have a little dance in the newly found floorspace every time I go downstairs.

I’m a little too excited about this one…
A blog I read runs a weekly feature to showcase products they call Unitaskers. A unitasker is an item that does a specific job which could frequently be done by another item which has multiple functions or is just a gimmick for people to spend money on.
I kind of have the opposite problem with the ubiquitous box grater. Although it claims to be able to grate a multiplicity of ways, I only ever use the large side, and it’s directly opposite the side that shreds your hand as you hold the grater still. So my mum indulged me and bought me a single grater which only does the one thing I want the box grate to do and doesn’t shred my hand. It also takes up less space.
I’m a little over-excited about it…

This is a real triumph…
In this box lurks the IKEA duvet that used to live on our spare bed. I’m not a nay-sayer of IKEA on the whole, but there is nothing more infuriating than trying to get a rectangular standard duvet cover around a square IKEA duvet.
So you are all welcome to come stay with us, now that changing the spare room duvet doesn’t make me cry!
