Batman and I went to his parents flat for tea last night, and I brought the baby quilt I’m desperately trying to finish. As I was quilting, I noticed that a a tree applique hadn’t got turned under as much as I would like, and that I ought to try to Fraycheck it when I got home to prevent further disaster.

So I turned to Batman and said ‘Remind me to Fraycheck the tree’.

An hour or so later, as we were walking home, he started chanting, ‘Fraycheck the Tree! Fraycheck the Tree!’. It became a slightly mystical mantra, reminiscent of ‘Save the Cheerleader, Save the World!’…
