I have a really good, topical yellow photo, but it’s stuck on the camera I borrowed from my friend that I can’t get the photos off. So you get golden brown instead..
This is the remnants of the New Years Eve shortbread (don’t worry, this was taken on the 1st). We made the traditional Scottish shapes: star, moon, whale and ducks. They’re meant to bring light and buoyancy to the New Year. The elephant (a symbol of extending your grasp) was less successful, we only made two (the tails and trunks kept getting stuck in the cutters) and gifted them to the people whose names started with E.
