I’ve had to use my creativity a wee bit, I only have sensible sized embroidery hoops, which are completely unsuitable for the single layer of thin fabric I’m embroidering.

I can now confidently recommend using a roll of tape and a ponytail holder to get into those edges which are impossible to keep taught in a standard hoop.

I suggest masking tape (I started out with double sided tape), the texture helps keep everything from pinging off at in inopportune moment.

How’s that for a bit of Make Do and Mend?
