I have to admit that by this point I was getting a wee bit desperate with things to put in the book…

But here we have an example of ‘Art College Nectar’, a combination of PVA and water which seems to have been the default desperation material, especially in my first year.

Basically, if you had to create something and you didn’t know what to do, you made a solution of PVA and water and laminated whatever you had to hand onto whatever else you had to hand. You could make fabrics with it (using either fabric or tissue paper), it could be translucent and it made rubbish ideas look a little more…interesting.

Hopefully I won’t have to resort to it very often!
