We took a family outing to Liverpool because we’d never been.

It seems that Creamfields had just finished and so all around the city were piles of abandoned welly boots. It alternated between being sweet and slightly disturbing, as if the wearers had all been magicked away suddenly.

There was an interesting series of facts and questions sprayed onto the walls of abandoned buildings. I’d really like to know who or what was behind them.

We went to Tate Liverpool where we got to see the world from Dragon’s point of view and play with some very disturbing toys. There were wooden-looking blocks that were made of foam, and twigs which were magnetic and stuck to other magnetic twigs.

It maybe doesn’t look as disturbing as it did at the time…but when Batman threw a piece of wood at me and what hit me was foam it made me jump!
