It’s properly autumnal around here, we’ve even considered turning the heating on (but only, as Batman hastens to add, to make sure our washing dries).

This month’s technique is Papercutting. I’ve always loved the way it looks and was convinced that it was massively difficult and beyond my capabilities, but having had a go for the Sketchbook Project 2011 I discovered that I really enjoy it. It’s a bit like sewing, you have to concentrate intently on the tip of the blade and not let yourself be overwhelmed by the enormity of the task you’ve set yourself.

I’ve been a bit lax about getting Dragon’s book done, so I thought I’d do this as a warm-up piece. I quite liked it before I stuck it down, but it had to be done!
