I can’t remember how often you’re meant to buy new running shoes…but I expect that these have reached the end of their working life.

I’m not a huge fan of running or endurance anything really, I find my brain starts to dwell on the repetitiveness of my breathing or wondering if it’s possible to feel cartilage wear away. But I did manage to get through the Couch to 5k programme about five or six years ago and since I did that I’ve found that I can just about manage to run for 25-30 minutes without stopping even if I haven’t done any training.

So until the next running urge overtakes me, I’ll be trainer-less (which doesn’t really bother me).
